Anti-Racism Survey

A project being undertaken by the Union related to the promotion of integration of migrants. This project is supported by the Irish Congress of Trade Unions, the Equality Authority and the Department of Justice & Equality.

Currently, there is no information available to the Union to indicate the extent to which Civil Service Departments have undertaken training programmes dealing with anti-racism and intercultural issues.

We hope to establish data on the extent to which such training programmes have been made available to civil servants and the numbers of staff, who have experienced such training.

We are also undertaking a short survey of members to establish their knowledge and exposure to training in this area.

This will enable the Union to develop action points for future activities on behalf of members’ needs in the area of workplace training in anti-racism and intercultural issues.
