Notice for Members Transferring Between Departments
The Union would be grateful if those members who transfer from one Department to another Department, would contact the
Branch Representatives in their new Department and inform them of their contact details. This is to ensure that

Branch Financial Systems and Accounts
Branches have been written to and reminded of the need to provide a Certified Statement of
Accounts for 2008 to Union Head Office.

Arrangements for ADC 2010
The 2010 Conference will be held in the Radisson Hotel and Spa, Galway on 15/16 April 2010.

Future of Conciliation and Arbitration Scheme
As publicised previously, the Union was out-voted by the CPSU and IMPACT and, as a result, the Civil Service General
Staff Panel has sought the abolition of the Conciliation and Arbitration Scheme. Discussions have taken place with an
Official Side that is highly receptive to the proposed abolition. It appears that primary legislation is required.
Pending this, discussions have centred on the practical aspects of ensuring that negotiations continue to be dealt with in
a structured fashion within Departments and on a general level. The Staff Side has drafted adapted arrangements to put to
the Official Side in this regard.
