Income Protection Plan

As a SPECIAL OFFER new PSEU members can, on completion of a deduction-at-source mandate within 120 days of becoming eligible to join the union, qualify for three months free cover and are not subject to medical criteria. Contact Union Head Office or Marsh Ireland Ltd (Ph. 01-6048100) for details.

Members in the Income Protection Plan are insured so that, if they are on prolonged sick leave and go on to half-pay or if they are forced to retire early due to ill health, their income will be brought up to 75% of their basic pay. These payments are index-linked and, if necessary, can continue until normal retirement age.
