Members who join the service too late to be in a position to work a full 40 years and thereby acquire full pension rights can use this scheme.

Members in Eircom are covered by a separate scheme which can be used to purchase a guaranteed lump sum of €50,789.52 for dependants in the event of death-in-service. Application forms and further information for members in that Company can be obtained from the PSEU Head Office or from Halligan Insurances at (01) 873 1033.
